Smoker - Forest worker - height 19 cm / 8 inch
German incense smoker
Forest worker, height 19 cm / 8 inch, original Erzgebirge by Seiffener Volkskunst
Seiffener Volkskunst eG was established in 1958 by the skilled artisans of Seiffen, Saxony. Just a year later, production began on the region’s original Erzgebirge woodcrafts — meticulously carved and turned by hand, then finely painted and assembled into the charming figurines for which the area is world‑famous.
Over the decades, the company has continually expanded its range. Alongside its iconic nutcrackers, Seiffener Volkskunst now produces incense smokers, angel and miner figures, candle pyramids, miniature arches, and the beloved Striezel children.
Since 1992, Seiffener Volkskunst eG has showcased its craftsmanship at numerous international trade fairs. In addition to traditional and historically inspired creations, new collections have been introduced, blending time‑honoured techniques with contemporary design.
The cooperative remains a proud member of the Association of Erzgebirge Craftsmen and Toy Manufacturers (e.V.), upholding the cultural and artistic heritage of the Ore Mountains.
